BLUE Stone and Tile Adhesive

Application Method
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the substrate (surface) is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or any loose particles. This is crucial for proper adhesion.
- Tools Needed:
-
- Notched trowel
- Tile spacers
- Level
- Rubber mallet
- Damp cloth
- Measuring tape
- Tile cutter or wet saw
-
-
Mixing the Adhesive:
-
Pour 5 – 7 liters (as per the consistency you require) of cold or room temperature water into a bucket or a container and add the powder to the water while continuously stirring with a mixing paddle attached to a drill or a hand mixer until it reaches a smooth, lump-free consistency. Allow the mixture to rest for 5-10 minutes this helps the polymers in the adhesive to activate fully, after resting give the mixture a final stir before using it.
-
- Applying the Adhesive:
- Use the notched side of the trowel to spread the adhesive evenly on the substrate. Apply it in one direction to ensure consistent coverage.
- Cover only a small area at a time (enough to place a few tiles) to prevent the adhesive from drying out before you can set the tiles.
- Setting the Tiles:
- Press the vitrified tiles firmly into the adhesive, starting from the bottom and working your way up.
- Use tile spacers to maintain even gaps between the tiles.
- Check the alignment with a level and make adjustments as needed.
- Tap the tiles gently with a rubber mallet to ensure they are properly set.
- Cleaning Excess Adhesive:
- Wipe off any excess adhesive on the tile surface with a damp cloth before it dries.
- Expansion Joints:
- Provide expansion joints as needed to accommodate any movement in the substrate or tiles.
- Curing:
- Allow the adhesive to cure for about 24 hours before grouting or exposing the tiles to water
